Nightly Roundup - Day 356

Marriage - Check.

Kids - Fun time at the pumpkin patch with a friend.

Book - Read a chapter about preparing for rejection in "From Book Idea to Bestseller".
You might suffer from the harshest form of rejection as Poet A. Wilber Stevens did when a publisher returned to him not his beloved manuscript but a pile of ashes. Or you may receive an excruciatingly polite rejection, as one writer did from a Chinese economic journal with this note: "We have read your manuscript with boundless delight. If we were to publish your paper it would be impossible for us to publish any work of a lower standard. And as it is unthinkable that, in the next thousand years, we shall see its equal, we are, to our regret, compelled to return your divine composition, and to beg you a thousand times to overlook our short sight and timidity."

I personally would prefer the second letter;-).

Business - Am gearing up for the mentor program and realized that the application requires a resume. Looked the entire house over for my old one to no avail. I haven't needed it in at least four years as I've taught at the same schools. So I began again, about 20 minutes, to recreate my work history.

Garden - Got in the last two shrubs and lots of leaf mulch.

FI - Finished another short chapter in the true story "How I lived a year on just a pound a day." We learn in chapter two she's now hitchhiking to get around and sees a huge environmental problem with so many drivers as single passengers in five passenger cars and hopes that changes in time.

Health/Beauty - Got in 40 minutes of exercise - a rarity.

Spirit/catchall - Plan to read a funny book at bedtime, with no self-improvement ideas whatsoever;-)!
